About the Spector Legend

The Spector Legend was introduced by Spector in 2002 and remains in production today. Spector has been building instruments in the United States since 1976. You may also see this listed as "Legend Classic", "Legend Standard" — they refer to the same instrument.

Buying Guide

• 1Check the truss rod adjustment — bass necks take more tension than guitar necks and are more prone to developing bows.
• 2Test the electronics with the bass plugged into an amp. Active basses should have a fresh battery for testing.
• 3Inspect the nut slots — bass strings can wear deep grooves that cause buzzing on the first few frets.
