Frequently Asked Questions

What is Treblemakers?

Treblemakers is a search engine that helps you find used musical instruments across multiple online marketplaces. Instead of checking Reverb, eBay, Amazon, and a dozen other stores separately, you can search all of them at once with AI-powered natural language queries.

Is Treblemakers free?

Yes, Treblemakers is completely free to use. We earn a small commission when you purchase through our links, but this never affects the price you pay.

Do I buy instruments from Treblemakers?

No. Treblemakers is a comparison shopping engine, not a store. When you find an instrument you like, clicking it takes you directly to the original seller's website (Reverb, eBay, Amazon, etc.) where you complete your purchase. We never handle payments, inventory, or transactions.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is handled entirely by the seller on the original marketplace. Each listing links to the source site where you can see the seller's shipping options, costs, and estimated delivery times. Shipping policies vary by seller and marketplace.

What is the return policy?

Return policies are set by each individual seller on their respective marketplace. When you click through to purchase, check the seller's return policy on that platform before buying. Reverb, eBay, and Amazon each have buyer protection programs. Treblemakers does not process returns since we don't handle transactions.

How does the AI search work?

Our AI understands natural language queries. You can type things like "Fender Stratocaster under $500 in excellent condition" and our system will automatically extract the brand, model, price range, and condition to find the best matches across all sources.

What sources do you search?

We search across Reverb, eBay, Amazon, Guitar Center, Sweetwater, Musician's Friend, zZounds, ShopGoodwill, Craigslist, Music Go Round, Dirt Cheap, and more. We also index independent music shops. New sources are added regularly.

How fresh are the listings?

Our search index is updated regularly with listings from all major marketplaces. Plus, when you search, we also query marketplace APIs in real-time to catch the very latest listings. Real-time results are marked with a "LIVE" badge.

Can I sell instruments on Treblemakers?

Not yet. We're a comparison shopping engine — we help you find and compare instruments listed on other marketplaces. Direct listing support is planned for a future update.

How do affiliate links work?

When you click through to a marketplace, your link may include an affiliate tracking parameter. If you purchase the item, we earn a small commission from the marketplace. The price you pay is the same either way — the commission comes from the marketplace, not from you.

I found an issue with a listing. What should I do?

Treblemakers searches across third-party marketplaces to find you the best deals. If you have an issue with a listing's accuracy, pricing, or availability, please contact the marketplace directly. For issues with our search or website, email support@treblemakers.shop.

Is my personal data safe?

We take your privacy seriously. Treblemakers never collects payment information — all purchases happen on the original marketplace. We use Clerk for secure authentication and never share your personal data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
