1. What We Collect

Search queries: We log search queries to improve our search results and AI system. Queries are not associated with your identity unless you have an account.

Click data: When you click through to a marketplace listing via our affiliate links, we log the click for analytics and commission tracking. This includes the listing you clicked, the timestamp, and your referrer URL.

Standard web data: Our servers automatically log standard HTTP request information including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security, debugging, and aggregate analytics.

2. What We Don't Collect

We do not collect personal information unless you create an account (coming soon). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

When you click through to marketplace listings (Reverb, eBay, Guitar Center), you leave Treblemakers and are subject to those platforms' privacy policies. Our affiliate links may include tracking parameters that identify the click as coming from Treblemakers.

4. Cookies

We use a single localStorage key to remember your dark/light mode preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

Search logs and click analytics are retained for 12 months for business analytics, then aggregated and anonymized. Server logs are retained for 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Treblemakers is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
