About the Schecter C-1

The Schecter C-1 was introduced by Schecter in 1998 and remains in production today. Schecter has been building instruments in the United States since 1976. You may also see this listed as "C-1 Plus", "C-1 Platinum" — they refer to the same instrument.

Buying Guide

• 1Play the guitar unplugged first — if it resonates and sustains well acoustically, it'll likely sound good amplified.
• 2Check the frets for wear. Flat spots and divots mean a fret level or refret may be needed ($200-400).
• 3Plug in and test every pickup position, and roll the tone and volume knobs through their full range to check for crackling.
