The G&L JB-2 was introduced by G&L in 1998 and remains in production today. G&L has been building instruments in the United States since 1980. You may also see this listed as "JB-2", "JB2" — they refer to the same instrument.

Buying Guide

• 1Check the truss rod adjustment — bass necks take more tension than guitar necks and are more prone to developing bows.
• 2Test the electronics with the bass plugged into an amp. Active basses should have a fresh battery for testing.
• 3Inspect the nut slots — bass strings can wear deep grooves that cause buzzing on the first few frets.
