Used Fender Blues Junior
About the Fender Blues Junior
The Fender Blues Junior is one of the most popular small tube amps ever made, and it's been a go-to for gigging musicians who need real tube tone at manageable volumes since 1995. At 15 watts with a single 12" speaker, it's loud enough for small clubs but not so loud that you can't crank it in an apartment. The used market for Blues Juniors is enormous β they're traded constantly, which means prices are competitive and inventory is always available.

Buying Guide
- 1Check the tubes β retube cost is $50-80 and tubes should be replaced every 2-5 years depending on use. Ask when they were last changed.
- 2Earlier versions (I, II, III) all sound slightly different. The III and IV are generally preferred for their improved reverb and voicing.
- 3The speaker is a 12" Fender-branded unit. Many players swap it for a Cannabis Rex or Jensen, which is a cheap upgrade that dramatically improves the tone.
