The DW Design Series was introduced by DW in 2013 and remains in production today. DW has been building instruments in the United States since 1972. You may also see this listed as "DW Design" — they refer to the same instrument.

Buying Guide

• 1Always replace the drum heads before judging a used kit's sound. Old heads make any drum sound terrible.
• 2Check the bearing edges for damage — this is the most important factor in a drum's ability to tune properly.
• 3Inspect all tension rods and lugs. Cross-threaded or stripped lugs are common and tedious to repair.
